Department management / tasks and duties
Section Manager :
Based on the special powers of the university department directors, which stipulated that the department director should exercise the following powers to facilitate the work as required:
* Distributing tasks and powers among the employees working in the department.
* Approving the granting of regular leave, not exceeding ten days, and approving sick leaves.
* Recommending the approval of regular and sick leaves for more than ten days, in addition to study leaves.
* Supervising the performance of work in the department and following up the activities of workers.
* Recommend imposing a penalty on negligent workers.
* Suggesting directing letters of thanks and appreciation to distinguished and creative workers.
* Recommend granting bonuses for promotion and promotion from one degree to another for the workers in the department.
* Recommend the appointment, placement and dismissal of the services of any workers in the department in accordance with the laws and instructions in force.
* Proposal to assign employees in the department to work overtime outside the official working hours and within the laws and instructions regulating that.
* Representing the department in scientific and technical conferences and seminars within the scope of its department.
* Distributing tasks and responsibilities among the department's employees, in a way that helps to develop and improve work performance within the specified department staff.
* Recommending the dispatch of the department's employees to the inside of the country for a period not exceeding one week.
* Recommend granting various allowances to all employees in the department.
* Evaluating the performance of the employees in the department and submitting it to the relevant authorities.
* Suggesting the appointment of a temporary contract for the employees of the department to fill cases of staffing shortages and to ensure the speedy workflow
* Recommend approval to confirm the department's employees in their jobs when they complete the required legal period.
* Recommending the assignment of department tasks to one of its affiliates in cases where he enjoys regular and sick leave and dispatch.
* Any other powers delegated to him by his direct supervisor.
Assistant Director of the Department: According to the powers granted to create the position of Assistant Director, the most important duties have been identified, which are:
* Supervising the performance of work in the department and following up the activities of workers.
* Expressing administrative advice and proposals to help the progress of administrative work, its development, and its completion quickly, accurately, and without delay.
Proposal to assign employees in the department to work overtime outside official working hours and within the laws, regulations and instructions regulating that.
* Suggesting directing letters of thanks and appreciation to employees for their excellent work.
* Suggesting the distribution of tasks and responsibilities among the employees of the department in order to help develop and improve work within the scope of the department.
Carrying out department management tasks in cases where the department manager enjoys regular, sick leave and dispatch.
* To propose to the director of the department to assign one of the associates to carry out his duties as an assistant director in the event that he enjoys regular and sick leaves and dispatches
* Any other powers vested in him by his direct supervisor.
The powers of the division official:
* Monitoring the extent to which the Division's employees adhere to the tasks and duties stipulated under the Amended State Employees Discipline Law No. 14 of 1991.
Follow up on the presence of the Division's employees and their commitment to official working hours.
Assigning the Division's staff to the Division's work, in addition to any additional work required by the public interest.
* Follow-up staff performance of the duties entrusted to them.
* Recommending the approval of granting all kinds of leaves to the Division's employees.
* Expressing an opinion in evaluating the performance of the Division's employees.
* Work on developing proposals that lead to the development of work in consultation with the Division's staff and provide recommendations regarding them in a way that serves the public interest.
* Recommending the nomination of the Division's staff to participate in training and development courses inside Iraq.
* Submitting notes submitted to him by the Division's staff to the department manager or his assistant, as the case may be.
The number of employees in the Student Affairs and Registration Department has reached (33) male and female employees distributed according to the certificate
