Today, Saturday, the Parliamentary Education Committee determined its position on conducting university and college exams in attendance, while making four recommendations in this regard.
A member of the Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee, Riyad Al-Masoudi, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the authority responsible for the decision to perform exams in person or electronically is the Supreme Committee for Health and Safety, which is a sectoral committee higher than the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the ministry implements the decisions of the Supreme Committee." .
He pointed out that "the increase in the number of coronavirus infections is not due to attendance in schools and universities, but rather to other reasons related to citizens' lack of commitment to safety and prevention measures."
He pointed out that "the medical group's competence cannot perform its tests electronically."
