The University of Basrah launched its Ninth International Scientific Conference of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences under the theme “Sports and Digital Transformation… Scientific Visions for Building a Sustainable Future,” with wide local and Arab participation. The conference was held in cooperation with several universities in the southern region of Iraq and lasted for two consecutive days.

The conference witnessed the attendance and participation of the Director of the Registration and Student Affairs Department and faculty member at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Professor Dr. Shukri Shaker Falih, along with more than 300 researchers from across Iraq and participants from 13 Arab countries, underscoring the importance of digital transformation and the exchange of scientific expertise in advancing the sports sector.
