Under the kind invitation of the Basra Branch President of the Engineers Syndicate, Mr. Karrar Al-Abbadi,
the Engineers Syndicate – Basra Branch hosted the opening ceremony of the first season of the “Engineering Vision” training program on the evening of Sunday, August 24, 2025.

The program is organized by the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate / Basra Branch as part of its ongoing efforts to develop the professional and engineering skills of students and graduates.

The event was attended by a number of prominent academic figures, including:
• Professor Dr. Mufeed Turki, Dean of the College of Engineering – University of Basra
• Professor Dr. Shukri Shakir Falih, Director of the Registration and Student Affairs Department
• Dr. Ghazwan Abdul Latif, Director of the Rehabilitation and Employment Center

The program covered several key areas aimed at preparing students and graduates for the job market, through specialized training workshops and by opening channels of cooperation with both international and local companies, in a way that enhances employment opportunities and keeps pace with market demands.

The attendees emphasized the importance of such qualitative initiatives in linking academic education with practical aspects, and in equipping students with the necessary skills to compete in various fields of employment.
