The Director of the Department of Registration and Student Affairs at the University of Basra, Dr. Shukri Shaker Faleh, participated in the course on implementing the Bologna Pathway held at the University of Baghdad under the auspices of the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Regarding the course curriculum and the challenges of implementing the Bologna Path in education, Shukri said, “He participated with the delegation of the University of Basra, consisting of a group of heads of scientific departments, Dr. Haider Jassim and Dr. Haider Nouri, in the specialized scientific course on the Bologna educational path, in which the Turkish expert Dr. Polak lectured. The curriculum is at a high level, as the number of attendees for the first day exceeded (800) from professors, assistant university presidents, deans of colleges, their assistants, and department heads from various Iraqi public and private universities. Tomorrow, God willing, will be a continuation of the course at Mesopotamia University College. The course included an interactive scientific curriculum with sessions. Open discussions.”
Shukri added - We hope that the course will benefit everyone, especially the many experiences and challenges presented by Dr. Burak regarding the implementation of the Bologna process in Turkish universities and how to transfer the experience to Iraqi universities.
