Based on the scientific and legal powers granted under the legislation in force, the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Pharmacy in Iraq, the Chairman of the Accreditation Council of Colleges of Pharmacy in Iraq, the Director of the Legal Department and the Director of the Private University Education Department. The meeting discussed themes related to accreditation standards  Specialized programs for medical fields, especially dentistry and pharmacy, and the meeting concluded the following:

 ▪️ All the outputs of university educational institutions and their certificates granted in public and private universities and colleges fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which has the right to sue any illegal jurisprudence in this regard.

 ▪️ The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its specialized committees undertake the follow-up, evaluation and supervision of the fulfillment of the requirements responsible for the availability of accreditation elements in the faculties and departments of pharmacy and dentistry at the level of scientific curricula, student, professor and infrastructure.

 ▪️ The certificates granted in the field of pharmacy, dentistry and other specialties in private universities and colleges are based on the Private University Education Law No. 25 of 2016, first of which Article 42 stipulates the following: (The certificates granted by universities, colleges or private institutes are equivalent to the certificates granted by  public universities in accordance with the provisions of this law).

 In this context, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reassures the public opinion, observers and those interested that all the faculties and departments of pharmacy and dentistry in private universities have been established in accordance with the applicable law and in the light of scientific and technical governing procedures that guarantee the soundness of the outputs based on educational attainment, which makes the holder of the specialized certificate eligible for enrollment in  Labor market and community service.
