
The Minister of Education directs to follow up on Iraqi students in Iranian universities and to observe quality requirements
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, directed a higher ministerial committee to support and follow-up Iraqi students in Iranian universities and to develop the level of scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
This came when he received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraj Masjedi, and his accompanying delegation, which included the cultural attache in Baghdad, Gholam Reza Abahari, and representatives from the University of Religions and Sects.
The attendees reviewed several axes, including the scientific requirements for the project to create a branch in Iraq from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the report of the specialized committee responsible for detecting and inspecting the site designated for the university, and the observations made by the specialized members of the committee.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education stressed the importance of the reputation of educational institutions and the need to adhere to the standards of sobriety adopted by the ministry in its circulars directed to cultural departments and to maintain the required quality standards. The visiting delegation expressed its commitment to strengthening the requirements of the scientific situation and its keenness to formulate a common vision for the development of cultural exchange paths, praising at the same time the direction adopted by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to focus on quality requirements and taking into account their standards in the fields of academic education at the level of preliminary and graduate studies.
