The Director of the Registration and Student Affairs Department at the University of Basra, Dr. Shoukry Shaker Faleh, was chosen, represented by the local government within the follow-up committee for the decisions issued by the Supreme Council for Youth of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

Dr. Shaker said, "Today we held a periodic meeting to discuss ways to implement the proposals and decisions of the Supreme Council for Youth, which relate to obliging all government departments and all entities to evacuate the institutions returned or allocated to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the method of launching the electronic form for the national competition for youth programs aimed at selecting about 100 youth programs and initiatives provided by non-governmental organisations, as well as our nomination of a number of young activists in Basra governorate to work within the national team to combat climate change, in order to enhance the visual role of youth in addressing environmental challenges and developing programs and solutions to climate challenges, provided that this team is linked to the Supreme Council of Youth later. ".
