A delegation of female graduates from the University of Basra hosted by the Holy Abbasid Shrine

Under the dome of the Lord Abi Al-Fadl (peace be upon him), the Women’s Religious Guidance Division received a women’s delegation of female graduate students at the University of Basra / Department of Physics in the Al-Alqami basement inside the purified courtyard.

The head of the division, Mrs. Adhraa Al-Shami, said: “Out of our belief in the importance of the role of women in building a conscious society whose constitution is the Holy Qur’an, and based on the effective and important role of women in building the family, we presented an educational lecture entitled (The Role of Women in Light of Contemporary Challenges)
She added: “The goal we seek is to graduate a conscious generation armed with religious culture, especially among female university students, as they are future leaders.”
Al-Shami stressed: “Role models have an important role in changing the paths and repercussions of the soft war on women and ways to confront it by imitating the approach of Lady Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). This character has good qualities represented by her hijab, her faith, her jihad, her chastity, and her missionary stances in the Islamic community.”

Al-Shami continued: “The program concluded with the distribution of gifts to the participants, and a visit to the shrine of Mawla Qamar Bani Hashem (peace be upon him).”

In a related context, the delegation’s coordinator, the student (Waroud Imad), expressed: “Our presence near the shrine of Imam Hussein and his brother, Abi Al-Fadl (peace be upon them), represents a message that this place is a source of culture, humanities and scientific sciences.” She added, "Adhering to the life of the Prophet's family, peace be upon them, and applying their approach is the way to survive and succeed in the academic field and field work, and to dedicate the fruit of our efforts throughout the years of study to the Awaited Imam, may God hasten his honorable appearance."

It is worth noting that the shrine of the Lord Abi Al-Fadl, peace be upon him, has witnessed in recent years the influx of large numbers of female Iraqi university students to celebrate graduation near his blessed shrine and repeat the oath and pledge in his honorable shrine to serve the country and its people.
