Basra University commemorates the 3/17 uprising

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra commemorated the immortal uprising of 3/17/1999 on its twenty-fifth anniversary.

The ceremony included a recitation of the Holy Quran, a reading of Surah Al-Fatihah, the national anthem, and a speech by the Dean of the College, as well as a remembrance of contemporaries about the uprising. It began with a summary from His Eminence Sayyed Saleh Al-Jizani, verses of poetry by the great poet Kazem Al-Hamdani, and a dialogue symposium presented by Dr. Hazem Al-Shawi, in which Professor Dr. Nasser Samari and Sheikh Abdullah Al-Amshani participated.

The ceremony was also attended by Professor Dr. Shukri Shaker Faleh, Director of the Department of Registration and Student Affairs, representing the President of the University of Basra, as well as many religious religious figures who participated in that eternal uprising, as well as professors and employees of the University of Basra from various colleges, in addition to a number of mujahideen who lived through and participated in the uprising.
