On Tuesday, 8/15/2023, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research set a date to start applying to the direct admission channel for the academic year 2023/2024.
 
 The Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up clarified that the application ends on 7/9/2023, after which the exams will begin, which will last from 9/10/2023 until 9/14/2023 for the majors covered by direct admission to colleges for graduates of preparatory studies from the biological, applied and literary branches.  Arts, vocational and Islamic.
 
 And she continued that the faculties concerned with the direct admission channel are the faculties and departments of physical education, sports sciences, faculties of fine arts, art education departments, Kurdish language departments in universities (except for the University of Kirkuk), Turkish language departments, the kindergarten department, the family education department, and technical professions in the faculties of basic education and the faculties of Islamic sciences and jurisprudence.  And the Department of Home Economics in Universities and the College of Applied Arts / Central Technical University
